Deep Space w/ Dimitri from Paris with Francois K. 06/21
Deep Space is an adventure into future dub, spacey vibes, and abstract grooves featuring resident DJ Francois K. live on the mixing board.
No dress code - just an open mind
June 21
Dimitri from Paris with Francois K.
With the recent passing of R&B icon Teddy Pendergrass, Dimitri From Paris’ latest BBE compilation, ‘Get Down With The Philly Sound’, couldn’t be better timed (albeit for poor TP!) featuring five exclusive mixes from the late singer’s wonderfully gifted songbook. Dimitri’s respectful retouches serve as fitting tribute to a soul colossus, while the collection is a timely reminder the influence that the City of Brotherly love played on the birth, growth and ultimately longevity of disco at large. With a handful of essential albums already to his name, including the equally essential ‘Playboy Mansion’ series, the French Ambassador of stylish club sounds is a true stalwart and influential player in both the disco, and ultimately, proto-house scenes. Dimitri From Paris bridges not only the musical divide, but also the generation gap with considerable ease, so it’s fitting he should be Deep Space’s special guest on Monday 21st hosted by the equally like-minded and innovative Francois K.
