    i suggest to use spybot. Its freeware, but very good. And the best way to avoid spyware is to use LINUX!

      M$ is trying to sell its antivirus in the near future probably will be needed install another service pack or something like that

        i tried using the software but i can't say that it can compete with any of the current spyware detection tools on the market right now.

            i got panda antivirus platinum. That works on the background, deleting spyware as the come in.
            I also have spybot and ad-aware on regulary.
            I'm not downloading this microsoft crap.

              Well, there's really not such a thing as a hack proof OS, but prob the most secure out there (IMO) is OSX.

              All the spyware, trojans, viruses, etc. are written for windows...so it wouldn't run on OSX....yet.
