Trentemøller: Into the Great Wide Yonder

    Stunning!

    Artist: Trentemøller
Album: Into the Great Wide Yonder
    Release Date: June 7
    Label: In My Room

    Tracklist:
01 The Mash and the Fury
    02 Sycamore Feeling
03 Past the Beginning of the End
    04 Shades of Marble
05 ...Even Though You're With Another Girl
    06 H채xan
    07 Metamorphis
08 Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go!!!
    09 Neverglade
    10 Tide

This is just radical (dark and menacing at times). Love the guitar riffs through out, entire album a little more heavier than the last. It is both extremely alarming and incredibly beautiful and one's ear is just about to fall off in sheer awe of how Trente manages to unite all elements in one. Its like listening to the soundtrack of someone's life and to imagine he records all this literally in his room ... #1 in my books!

(Edit - Album of the Year for me)

Anyone else pick this up yet? Thoughts?

Really? Because all his recent sets have been shit.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

I know he gets a lot of slack because of his mix sets. However they are nothing compared to his albums.... this brings out a completely different side of him. Producer/Artistic aspect not DJ.

Trentemoller's albums have always encompassed something eclectic, you got free up some time, pop the record in, put on a pair of headphones and give it your undivided attention (yes it deserves that), its not something that you will enjoy on the fly imho.

His first album was great, so was his EM ... it's just that, yeah a lot of his recent mixes have been all over the place and frankly irritating. But will definitely check this out.

can't really compare a mix set to an artist album imo

I'll check it out, anyone have a DL link

Yonder, I thought that was a Yorkshire saying that no one else understood?

Good but not as impactful as The Last Resort.
