anyone's parents listen to electronic music???

Long story short, I drove to meet my mom in the middle of indiana the other evening, and when she arrived, she opened the door and I shit you not*, she was jamming to carl cox's live set from the south korea fame festival. (i had left that disk in her minivan a while back). She said to me, "this stuff is really energetic, better than coffee!" Iulz.

My father digs some of the more melodic stuff I'd play. He saw Cox and Oakenfold with me once (2003-ish).

you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles

i've played some for mine before... dad didn't like it. mom liked the ambient stuff i played, wouldn't think too many of our parents, for the older crowd, would understand.
Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?

mine dare not, intentionally, --- they are too old school, funked out and pre 90's.

      i do try, however...

they like what mixes i give them (tons of chunked house, breaks, down-tempo) though, 'cos of the rhythm and dance-ability, i guess

My mom used to back in the 80's when I lived at home, you know the ol' New Wave. But seeing as I haven't lived at the house since 1990 that would be a no.

My parents are pretty open to everything, I think they have listened to some of my stuff and were fine with it.

Thats where I think i got the love of it from to begin with. When I was younger my pops always listened to Mannheim Steamroller music, and i used to love the whole synthesizer sound. Nowadays I think they like some of the jazzy stuff I have, and some of the good vocal progressive, but other than that I'm not sure.

I think the reason I like electronic music is because of my dad. When I was very young he was listening to the likes of Kraftwork, Tomito and Tontos Expanding Headband. I can't say I liked it back then but the older I got the more it grew on me. Roles reversed when I was about 18 though when I started listening to Electro.

My dad turned sixty last year and I swear he's the biggest Sasha and Digweed fan I know. He is constantly playing the Sasha at Glastonbury set. It looks a bit odd though when he's driving his Audi convertible with the lid down and his flat cap on. For the record, my mum hates it... they are still married though

I played an Oakey Essential Mix on a long drive with my dad about 6 years ago. When I was just home 2 weeks ago visiting, I noticed all my old Oakenfold CDs sitting next to his cd player. Never though to ask if he was listening to them at all or not.
