    HOW is release records customer service?????

    i ordered a bunch of stuff that came today. a copy of slacker's best boyfriend came along and to my very unfortunate eyes had a little surprise on it..... Confused

    this huge fruggin sticker right over the main side original. i wouldn't have minded it over scumfrog's but its right over the main choon and makes the record unplayable. it even looks like someone tried to pull it off b/c you can tell half of the sticker is missing. its just a thin white strip but it renders the LP useless......

    anyone know anyone along the lines????? andy, simon? por favor? i really dig the tune and lost my original copy.................

    Call them and ask for a replacement. I'm sure they'll take care of it.

    Or, you can use some solvent to get that stuff off.

      I can say Release has the best customer service out of all the shops I've ordered from. I admit I haven't ordered there in a while but I had some problems in the past with a couple of orders and they immediately took care of the problem.

      Have you called them to see what they would do for you?

        I have had a positive experience with release.
        It seems the selection may not be as good as it used to be, but
        overall record selection is cool. I have never returned anything or
        had an order lost. I always order 2 day.
        Don't sweat the petty things, always pet the sweaty things.

          I ordered some stuff in release from mexico, it took over a month to arrive to the destination (laredo texas) then, it arrived missing one vinyl and a tshirt.. I went on vacation, and that's what I heard from the friend that received it, i'm just waiting to go back home, so that I can check if my friend is pullin my leg or what.

            they've fixed me right up when i've had problems. i'm sure they'll fix whatever needs fixin.

                I had an old thread about going into their store in Toronto and not receiving any type of customer service. The guy behind the counter practically just sat there staring at me the whole time I was browsing the shop. IMO I should've received a 'Hey, how are you doing?" or "Is there anything I can help you find?"

                    actually, the one and only time i actually visited the shop in person i got great service. and thier website never gives me problems at all, this is the first time anything outside of a shitty pressing from baroque has bothered me. timely service and great selection will keep me around there for along time.. and the people on the phone are always polite and helpful.

                    this was the first time i got a truly bad product and was just wondering if they handle returns/ replacements well as this is the first time for me/

                      I got a record like this from Juno one time. Didn't bother doing anything about it.

                      As far as RR though, they've got great customer service. I ordered diggers MMII from them on CD when it first came out and they sent out the vinyl by mistake. I sent them an email and they were willing to send me out the CD and let me keep the vinyl, although I passed since I could just pick up the CD locally now.

                        I had an issue with them and after going back and forth like 3 or 4 times over email, nothing happened. Once I called, they sorted it out.

                          Yeah I would call about that. You'd be able to talk to someone personally and not have to keep exchanging freaking e-mails until it gets taken care of.

                          If you don't have good customer service you're not going to be in business for long.
