This is Cattaneo at his best. Welcome back to South America 2010!. There is one track in each CD that I didn't particularly liked, but overall is a very strong release. I'm glad I got this one, go for it.

i know nick warren and dave seaman try downtempo discs occasionally, and while i enjoyed the warren stuff it didn't really resonate with me. hernan's downtempo disc is somehow true to what he does, and is what i expected of a chill disc! some of it sounds made for 105 bpm while other stuff sounds pitched down, and somehow it works. hats off! great release. cd2 is more lush prog grooves we've come to love from the man...

one of my favorite cattaneo vibes is his deep, moody stuff - first hour of adios yellow, [ms] 8th bday - and while i don't expect to get that on his comps i'm so glad he releases the live sets where he'll work from the lower gears in getting going... cheers, Hernan!

love cd1, very good listeing. cd2, is more uplifting but had to listen to it the 2nd time for that. once cd2 grabs you, it's on!

only got listening to about 4 tracks on cd1 but its really really good so far, love the sample in the first track - need to get listening to the rest of it now

I have to say I would have left Mum - The Ballad Of The Broken Birdie Records (Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile Edit) out of CD 1 and another one of CD 2. But I guess is hard to like every track in a comp...

That would be Billy Dalessandro - Your Touch (Alexander Kowalski Remix). I would have left it if it were a dub version without the "i'll be your touch", i just can't stand it...

^^^^ That's interesting we had a discussion on my local forum about that track. One of the guys saw it as a massive mistake . I actually like the track but I must admit it didn't feel quite as well in the comp. as it did when Hernan was playing it in the club!

Btw the guy that saw it as a mistake I think he still likes the track.

I don't expect to love every track on any comp , but a comp is far more than the sum of it's parts, I tend to look at it overall.

Australian shops don't seem to be getting it via the normal channels either. We have all been buying on line. The shop I got it from had to do the same. I ended up with it three times. Sold one back to the shop

I agree DIDI, that's why I still think the comp overall is very strong and highly recommend getting it. I got it from iTunes for those who also live where no shops will get it soon...
