i thought the mastering on the cd was horrible, tracks were crushed way too much

For sure, it's had some of the life compressed out of it. Hard to believe that wasn't the intention though otherwise someone made a big mistake.

Maybe in the future we'll get to hear "digitally unmastered" recordings? Is there really any need to compress a mix comp where everything on it has been compressed already in it's original form?

Been listening to this again today - both the Henry Saiz tracks on both cds are class!

In the liner notes, he thanks Mercuryserver - props to him for that!

Fo' sure Arielus is also in the thanks section and a Kraut called Tom Bayer. Geek level + 1.

its taken nearly a year for me to notice Didi gets thanked too

Puts a smile on my face each time I check the sleeve. So far I made it on 3 of Hernan's comps and on the sleeve of Jacob Todd's Passage album...always a very cool surprise and special moment for me. Kinda nerdish I know but it's just a too cool memory.
