This wouldn't have happened if they played house music.

    Just sayin'.

i love the fact that the officials are condemning the whole scene i.e. music and raves in general rather than parents, friends, society, education etc...i never stop being surprised by ppls stupidity. She would have never died if everyone listened to country

what's surprising is that they conveniently overlook all the people that DIDN'T die of horrible taste in music. or something.

Drug 101: Respect the fucking drug.

If you want to use, make sure you do your homework. Know how the drug works, know how it should be consumed, check for any side effects when mixed. Test the fucking thing.

There're heaps of resources online like Bluelight and Erowid.

Common sense: You'd do the same with any pharmeceutical or hair or skin product.

But to say MDMA is safe/harmless could be stretching it. Last I was into the research and literature, it's shown that MDMA can deform brain receptors though long-term damage/side effects were yet to be proven.

^^^ lots of things in excess can be harmful.. like you said, common sense, that and moderation
pure mdma is pretty harmless unless it's abused, it used to be used in therapy sessions before it was made illegal.. there will always be idiots pushing the limits and mixing it with other stuff which will of course tend to lead to a very bad ending

booze is legal, and relatively harmless.. unless it's abused

                  video: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?...g;mostpopvideo

Mega-dance parties known as raves are popular among today's youth. But, as Ben Tracy reports, these raves also serve as a potentially fatal venue for drugs and other illicit activities.

Re: Raves back in the spotlight

                    wow, from that cbs report...

Two hundred and twenty six were injured, 114 taken to the hospital, including Grace Rodriguez's daughter Sasha who ended up with brain damage after drinking from a friend's water bottle laced with the drug ecstasy. Rodriguez now has to decide whether to take her 15 year old off life support.
water bottle laced with ecstasy? wait a sec. that's a blatant lie, and terribly bad reporting. didn't that girl drink way too much water, which is what caused her these problems?

water "laced" with ecstacy? I highly doubt that

sorry for her daughter, that's terrible... but I have a hard time believing these reports and numbers of "injured", and water laced with xtc, and reports that pills are often made with heroin and acid, etc.... it's typical media sensationalising shit as per normal

nice parenting that her 15 year old daughter was at a "rave" to begin with

In fact, promoters typically insist that their massive dance parties aren't raves. Instead, they bill the affairs as "electronic-music festivals" and market them as safe events.
"A rave by any other name is still a rave,"
                          They're on to us...lol
