next month to see John Digweed and Carl Cox at Space (August 17th). Never been to the island. My idea is to be there roughly between August 14th and the 21st. I would appreciate any knowledge/tips/advice/links/whatever people deem relevant to help me out + anything else cool to see and do.

Re: Considering An Ibiza Trip
I went for the first time last year and had a great time. One warning I can give is that it is very expensive. One beer can cost 10-12 Euros. Also, taxis are very expensive as well. If you are in Ibiza town or San Antonio, take the Disco Bus to the clubs. It only costs 3 Euros compared to a much more expensive taxi ride.
One more thing, If you decide to rent a car and see the island, be very careful not to drink and drive. The cops have road blocks especially on the road from Ibiza town to San Antonio. I got pulled over and had to take a roadside test. Fortunately, I only had one beer with my meal in San Antonio. The island is beautiful and it is fun exploring the island for remote beaches and great views. If that's something you want to do, definitely rent a car and explore.Never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake - Napoleon Bonaparte -

Thanks man. I've still got some time to get things in order so whatever pops into your head that you think is useful would be great...what's the deal with hotels there? Anything else to avoid there aside from taxis and DUI?Comment

Re: Considering An Ibiza Trip
I am heading out on 16th for 4 nights and will be there for the Digweed/Cox party, I can't wait. (5th time to the island for me)
As said previously, bring plenty of cash as the drink prices and entry fees for the clubs are shocking.
San An is prob a place to avoid - it's turned into every other Mediterranean 'strip' with a load of cheesy bars and people trying to get you to go in. Ibiza Town/Playa d'en Bossa is the place to go, as it's within walking distance to Space, Bora Bora and a short taxi to Pacha.
Amnesia and Manumission are in the middle of the island, opposite each other on the main road across the island. Manumission is huge but I find it's too big - the sound isn't the best. Amnesia is decent. But Space is the way to go, it is possibly the best club in the world.Comment

SImon has been there more times than we have, so you might want to hit him up also. We love Ibiza Town, most of the hotels there are wonderful, you'll be there during the warmest and busiest time, be patient and make sure nobody steal your cab when it's your turn. Taxis only pick up passengers at designated stops throughout the Island .
I like Bora Bora during the day.Try to go to Cafe Mambo, and Cafe Del Mar and see the sun go down. On your Space night, there's a lil bar across the street from Space that has free , and or discount tickets for Space if you buy a drink or two there, you might want to pre party there. PM me if you want more info.Comment

Re: Considering An Ibiza Trip
I almost made it this year until my girlfriend realised we would be a stones throw from Space. She then booked a week in Monorca probably not a bad thing though. It means I will save some cash.Originally posted by res0nat0rOK Lets All Stroke Ron Pauls Cock On 3!Comment

Re: Considering An Ibiza Trip
Just got back - can confirm that John is playing the New Terrace in August with Fatboy Slim supporting Coxy in the Discoteca - keep an eye out for the wristbands handed out on the beach or at the likes of Bora Bora or grab a flyer - this gives you discounted early entry of €10 entry 8-10 & €20 from 10-12 (catching Coxy at 11.00 on the Sunset Terrace is essential anyway).
Have a few drinks before you go in - it's €7 for water €10 for beer and €13 for spirits/mixers ... I'd recommend the latter as e.g. Jack'n'Coke is very strong, so not too many needed.
Space is an awesome club - so have a great night :PsigpicSimonR
This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.Comment
