    CD Decks

Thinking of buying them...can anyone help me as to which are the better ones on the market? Anyone know is it possible to play MP3's with any of them?

if you don't want to spend a whole lot of money, pioneer cdj-100s are good. only $300 new and you can usually get a good deal on used. they've lasted me fine since i have had mine. they are pretty basic though.
Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?

i think the pioneer cdj-100 is a great quality starter cd deck... only down part is that the resolution on the pitch adjustment is only .1% it works most of the time, but in longer mixes tends to need a little more monitoring.

slightly more expensive but a little down in quality are some of the numark/etc.. dual cd players. denon makes on i think.. a bunch though, but their pitch sliders are pretty tiny... that and they are generally designed for rack usage which makes them a little wierd to play with ona table or something.

if you have the cash and know you like using cds, pioneer cdj-1000mk2 is the way to go!

the 'upper' models (usually in the Pioneer, Denon & the Technics) will play MP3's...though not sure how "well"..for example the Denon 4000 you can't cue by frame (as it won't read frames for MP3's) and it doesn't display times for longer play tracks...maybe the later models do, I don't know. I'll be playing on a Denon 9000 next week, so I guess I'll find out then.

the short answer: the 1000 is alot better to play on long term. once you gain some experience, you'll be kicking yourself for not spending a bit more cash at the beginning.

for starting i'd go with the 100's as they are simple to use and you can use them for a long time. Mostly you won't even use the features on them except the pitch slider. Maybe even some loop parts. But most dj's just use them as if they were smaller turntables and that's it.
