    F9/11 wins Best Picture

Looks like Fahrenheit 9/11 won the US People's Choice Award for Best Picture. I have to confess that I'm a little surprised myself...

good film, very very very slanted message though. i think he should his fat ass up and go back to playing roles in bad john travolta movies.

too many stupid people fell in love with a cut n paste editing based movie. :? i am also surprised about mel gibson winning. i saw that movie and was pretty fucked up for a few days afterwards, so it winning best drama was a bit of a surprise

he's coming out with two new films, F9/11 (1/2), and one that discusses the "decrepit" health care system we have. This should be entertaining.

        Yeah...

Thing is, even though I'm pretty left in politics, MM is just too much for me. He's treating his viewers a bit as if they're little children. I must admit he is humorous though, but not in a sympathetic way imo.

I have to say he did the country a great service in putting out a great pile of $hit that everyone can polarize around. In the end it was the best thing that could have played out in the US politics at the time. Great job jack-ass. Can't wait to see his next film.

i liked bowling for columbine much better.

f 9/11 was way to sensational for my taste.

bowling for columbine actually shed some light on an issue i didn't know much about; whereas, f 9/11 was pretty much old news to me...

on the other hand, you may want to look at the counter-mentary called fahrenhype 9/11. it was so sad that i actually laughed. the people they interviewed in that one were just plain mental.

unfortunately the majority of the general public in the US need such treatment because with the minimal attentian span & unbelievable interest in reality tv, politics is a new ground for alot of people. they need the basic walk-through. no one in europe was suprised with the allegations & ideas portrayed but for many in the states this was an eye opener. thats why all the hype

                  Re: F9/11 wins Best Picture

Michael Moore won because his was the only one not selected by the group of individuals that normally select certain movies. His was done on the internet, and of course his fans flooded the site and he won by a huge margin.

I would love to sit down and debate his fans. Especially the ones that think F9/11 is a true documentary.

well i think you miss the point there: you don't judge documentaries on whether they are "true" or not. in fact, their degree of truth is irrelevant; what matters is whether they present a convincing argument or not.

in this case, i thought moore's attempt was convincing--but again, it was old news to me.

this has nothing to do with my political bias, but i though that the rebuttal to moore's documentary, fahrenhype 9/11 did a poor job in convincing me.

seriously, fuck that fat bastard. such a scumbag. i wish people would just follow his lard ass around and document his life of reading into everything and spending 5 months editing a film. i can only hope someone kneecaps him.

although i cant deny he has talent for directing and editing. but so did hitler and stalin's media guys. he only does things for his own profit, dont beleive him when he says he is trying to help everyone. he claims to be an everyday guy, but lives in a mansion in a very rich area.

how was it that half of our country in 2002 and today still think that saddam hussein was somehow responsible for the events on september 11, 2001.

                          un-fuckn-believable

i dont beleive hussein had anything to do with 9/11 outside of encouragement of the ideas behind it. however, now that we are in the midst of it all, im kinda glad we did it. i mean a few million people are about to take thier futures into their own hands. something that the hussein family would have never let happen, hell the money for the oil went into the inner circles pockets. at least now they dont have to worry about finding their brothers and sisters in mass graves. the only thing left is for the population to stand up for itself against these fuckers trying to sabotage the elections.
