i didn't say this is recent news. and i didn't want it in the political section since i don't think it's a mainly political topic. especially because i asked for all of your personal opinions.

i think it's good that so many people conform with this plan. i believe this is a strong sign of tolerance. nevertheless i do believe, that strengthens fundamental islamic groups in the us as well. not in the matter that they have another mosque to go to, but in setting an example on how strong their religion (basically) is being represented. "if we are able to build a mosque right next to the ground where 'we' pounded two us building, guess what else we are capable of" we as in 'our' followers.
please don't get me wrong, i am not anti islamic or anything. and i don't want to heat up any anger, but it kinda sends this message...? or in other words it could be misinterpreted this way.

i haven't seen a single muslim that thinks this way, no one should be proud about killing innocent unarmed civilians (maybe in palestine yes) and it well could be true that 9/11 wasn't a muslim plan. and remember well that any muslim could have lost a father, mother, brother,...etc in the towers, i wonder if they were gonna have the same feelings about the mosque?!!

i have muslim friends and even they said not in that area.....can you imagine if they built it they would burn it down, and if they did it would be under attack from these people who have been affected by 9/11

i don't have a problem with it, i think all beliefs should be represented. but saying that the fundamentalist muslims aren't anymore dangerous than the fundamentalist christians in washington is fucking absurd!
