“I’m really excited about the British music scene at the moment. Hitchcock are one of those rare bands who capture your imagination. Duran Duran along with David Bowie, were at the forefront of fusing music, fashion and art. This is a concept that Hitchcock have played with to create their own powerful and exciting identity.” Nick Rhodes - Duran Duran
‘Brave music made by people who never gave a fuck about what a&r people wanted. Hard hitting beats and unique vocal melodies. A bit dancey with the odd tip of the hat to 80’s synth styling – like Moby meets Scarface. Tunes!’ Tom Clarke, The Enemy
"Hitchcock are undoubtedly the best new band in Birmingham at the moment. Their songs are instantly catchy and frontman Matt is an amazing performer. We're such big fans we nominated them to play the Introducing stage at T in the Park in 2009 and they went down a storm. We reckon they're the ones to watch in 2010."Louise Brierley and Brett Birks from BBC WM Introducing
‘Mixing lush electronic sounds with ferocious guitars…trust me you would have not seen anything like them before’ Chris Cummins, Addict Music
Fat sounding production, nice waspy synths, strong chorus, decent keyboard hook, I even like the scansion of the lines, like 'simple indication'...very catchy. I'll support this for sure. Eddie Temple Morris XFM.
"I can see this being huge on our dance floors, it's good to hear a band making something fresh and different" DJ Dan, Promoter & DJ of Propaganda and Ramshackle
‘Hitchcock. A new dance duo tipped as the next Prodigy.’ Sunday Mirror
"Hitchcock are the most refreshing and exciting new band I have heard in a long time, they have huge choruses with bellowing vocals and beats that make you wanna have a good time." George Craig - One Night Only
Hitchcock are definitely "one to watch" for 2010. Never Said A Word is a belter with Radio 1 airplay written all over it! Neil Navarra – Head of Licensing Angel Music Group (Global Gathering).

Hitchcock are without doubt one of the most exciting bands to have emerged in recent years! With an outrageous mix of bombastic, eccentric, theatrical electronics and histrionics, like their namesake, they are truly masters of their art - dark, twisted yet utterly addictive.
The past 12 months has seen the release of two singles and a series of high profile gigs that have established Hitchcock as one of the most exciting new acts of 2010. They have completed their debut album and are set to release their third single, Villain this summer. The first two singles performed admirably, achieving plays on Huw Stevens on Radio One, extensive support from XFM, including the Eddie Temple Morris show, and A list status from Kerrang. The campaigns created real momentum and have positioned them as one of the talked up bands of the year.
Their new single ‘Villain’ is Black Sabbath meets Chase And Status, a hard hitting, hook-laden, concise slab of dirty, angry sample-rock! It’s a schizophrenic fusion of sounds with fatal hooks and a big chorus. The track is already causing a significant stir amongst industry ‘experts’ and the dancefloors of the UK underground club scene are stirring to the sound of Hitchcock.
The past year has been a whirlwind of activity for the band. Without a label and a budget they have slogged around the UK and built their name and reputation through talent and hard work.
Radio West Midlands Introducing first noticed the band leading to a huge performance at the BBC Introducing Stage at T In The Park. In the words of the Scottish Sunday Mail ‘Hitchcock stole the show and smashed ‘T In The Park’ to pieces’.
The band have gigged extensively and have already performed at profile gigs across the UK including at Gatecrasher, Koko, Dingwalls, Moho Live, The Summer Sound System and T In The Park. This summer they will be making their debut at many festivals including The Secret Garden Party, Napa Live and the ‘Uplifted Festival’.
Hitchcock have also created some killer remixes recently including the critically acclaimed reworking of The Lost Prophet’s ‘Felon’ and The Enemy’s ‘No Time For Tears’. Both mixes clearly show Hitchcock’s ability to make great tracks sound different and even more powerful.
The two creative intellects behind the project are Andy Huckvale and Matt Droog, they take a cinematic look at the world being inspired musically by composers like Bernard Herrmann and Jerry Goldsmith. Their songmanship is a psychological analysis of the darker side of humanity.
Hitchcock’s live shows also maintain a strong cinematic vision and can be likened to a David Lynch movie. Surreal nightmarish and dreamlike images collide with the band’s meticulously crafted sound. Lead singer Matt Droog’s Clockwork Orange persona and in yer face “Sex-Pistols-esque” contortions are matched by Andy’s unique technical ability, making gigs a thrilling spectacle of epic proportions. The bands flamboyant style is a seductive twist on reality, making the provocative playful and the forbidden electrifying.
‘Villain’ is the third single from the band’s album ‘Running From The Sane’, an album overflowing with extreme passions and severe epic moments. The songs are a collection of stories, real people, real happenings, an in-your-face social commentary that everyone can relate to through the twisted sounds of Hitchcock. It is a work of brilliance, fashioned by two men who will rapidly ascend the globe's musical hierarchy.
