From Academy Award® nominated filmmaker, Charles Ferguson (“No End In Sight”), comes INSIDE JOB, the first film to expose the shocking truth behind the economic crisis of 2008. The global financial meltdown, at a cost of over $20 trillion, resulted in millions of people losing their homes and jobs. Through extensive research and interviews with major financial insiders, politicians and journalists, INSIDE JOB traces the rise of a rogue industry and unveils the corrosive relationships which have corrupted politics, regulation and academia. Narrated by Academy Award® winner Matt Damon, INSIDE JOB was made on location in the United States, Iceland, England, France, Singapore, and China.

Re: Inside Job (2010)
absolutely excellent film on the topic...while perhaps missing SOME depth it explains everything wonderfully so that even a simpleton can understand. I would make this compulsory watching in schools. However...my final conclusion was that people are retarded idiots and as such deserve to be raped for everything they own which is why i started working in finance. If you want to take a peak of the real country you live in...begin with this. The Idiots ARE Winning.

Re: Inside Job (2010)
Just watched this in it's entirety. You can watch it here
I am not shocked although I am a bit appalled at the dean of brown university, larry summers, hank pauleson, and alan greenspan... and actually many others. The fact that these university deans and economic professors were also serving alongside Bush and the fact that Obama chose Larry Summers as his Economic advisor is repulsive.
I can understand where Shpira's statement is coming from although I disagree with it. Our society in America is sick, and in order to not be sick you have to be vigilant in not being a part of the sick society you live within, if you do not want to be sick as well. This is much easier said that done. Anyway without rambling on further, I will say that I do have hope for America, but unfortunately like the documentary pointed out, when you take an MRI scan of the human brain when the human is thinking about money, it triggers the same part of the brain as COCAINE. Our country needs to take a good hard look at its morals and what it values, and then stand up against these assholes in Washington who are not there for bettering America, rather they are there for making the lives of their friends and families better. I do think Obama is a step in the right direction, unfortunately it's a baby step.
It was fun while it lasted...Comment

Re: Inside Job (2010)
I actually found this to be a well thought and presented doco. Big ups on Matt Damon for the narration, obviously he has firm views about the general subject matter, and good on him.
But in general yes nothing above shocking here, it was known since the Rockefeller days that it will always be a “financial based government.” From the introduction of the Federal Reserve, to the implementation of credit. What I do know is no matter how much or how hard you may try to combat or even try to downgrade this corruption or power, money, and greed you cannot even scratch below 2 microns of the filth which lies under.
As the movie states Obama fuelled his campaign about regulating the greed which led to the financial crisis, yet nothing has been done, and it further stated that they tried harder than before (economists/banks) to keep the un-regulation in priority (CDO’s, etc.)
Great film, cleared up many questions, but what can we do about it?

Finally saw this ... it's like some modern day gangster flick. How can a system be that fucked up and still remain ... fucked up? It's like letting a sociopath be a surgeon. Here I am planning to go to New York
