there's a big difference between the things you mentioned about korea and the things in the article.
this is mostly cultural stuff and you cant blame anyone for his cultural values. the articles just unveils plain lack of general knowledge.
or else i could add sth like that: americans allow you to buy or own deathly guns just like that but you cant even drink liquor in public...

you can't be serious about even suggesting that this facet is an acceptable part of someone's (or anyone's for that matter) "culture".

I didn't realize beating a domesticated animal to death, cooking it and then feeding on it was "ok" in ANY culture, just to get a few athletic "swimmers", all in the name of procreation.

there's a big difference between the things you mentioned about korea and the things in the article.
