I'm just sitting down to eat some Oriental Beef & Broccoli with some steamed brown rice that I made up in the slow cooker earlier today. Smells terrific!

Re: What to cook for dinner?

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to eat as well. I'm glad to take any suggestions you guys may have, but it must be limited by the following criteria:

                      - only food I have on hand at the moment, which is none
                      - must fit into the amount of time I fell like spending cooking, which is none
                      Beats are my crack.

Here is an easy recipe for one of my favorite dishes: Red Beans & Rice

1 lb dried red beans, that have soaked over night
                              7 cups water
                              1 green pepper, chopped
                              1 medium onions, chopped
                              3 celery ribs, chopped
                              3 cloves garlic, chopped
                              1/2 lb andouille sausages, sliced
                              3 tablespoons creole seasoning
                              hot cooked rice

                              1. Place all but rice into a 4 qt slow cooker.
                              2. Cook, covered at HIGH 7 hours or until beans are tender.
                              3. Serve with hot cooked rice.
