If you don't mind subtitles, check out Carandiru, similar to City Of God from last year (Cidade de Deus), and almost as good (City Of God was awesome), it's set around the biggest prison riot ever at this Brazilian prison, very hardcore, but not gratutiously so....
House Of Flying Daggers is out now down my way (Australia), probably been and gone everywhere else. Very awesome, same guy who did Hero last year (awesome). Amazing cinematography.
