[MS] Chat. A possibility?

Administrators and Moderators,

So I was just thinking if there was a vbullitin compatibility for the implementation of a chat, or instant message feature for the forums(?), ie. just like facebook, myspace, etc. etc. Am not familiar with the complex php and programming involved... but is something like that even possible? it would be cool to have a chat room. Any ideas or thoughts regarding such?

Also, is there an IRC channel for Mercuryserver?

It would be cool to have an irc channel but i dont know if it was kind of ixnayed since it would just segment the server and the people who use it/know how to use it would be chatting there instead of on here, etc....but i could be wrong.
