Noice! - Episode 163 Sven Tasnadi (Pokerflat, Cargo Edition)

a nice way to spend your morning with us. come listen to the lovely sounds of Sven Tasnadi. exclusively on the NOICE Podcast. Sven Tasnadi was born in 1978. He came in contact withelectronic music early on. With acts like “Who killed JFK”he witnessed the advent of electronic music in Germany, subsequently began to go clubbing more frequently andeventually in 1995 started deejaying himself. Via Acidand Chicago Sounds he found his way towards minimalsounds over the years. Sven’s career shows an amazingdevelopment up to the turn of the millennium, from gigsat the well-known Tresor to resident nights at two localtechno clubs. His productions are characterized by their plainness, owing to the poor technical equipment back in the day.For the most part he simply employed a sampler and adrum machine. But with the advent of personal computersin German households he too could create and producenew sounds without lots of equipment. Not least becauseof these unlimited possibilities Sven does not want to bepigeonholed. This way Ambient and Trip Hop tracks cameup as did Electro and Minimal tracks suitable for peaktime, all of them made with heart’s blood and the love fordetail. In late 2005 Sven got to know Daniel Stefanik throughSteffen Bennemann, both of whom had at that time alreadyhad a release on the net label 1bit-wonder.From that then developed close friendship originated hisfirst vinyl release – in summer 2006 those two producedthe Cargo Edition 003 (which hit the Groove Charts atposition #3).The ice was broken, Daniel felt confident about Sven’sproductions and thus Cargo 004 – “el fuego de dentro”(Groove Charts position #5) was all his. At that pointthe two musicians came to know Juno6 and got himon board. Svens first releases caught the attention ofHamburg record label liebe*detail which came a-knockingin late 2007. The release of the “Waiting EP” on Smallvilleand “Saturn Return” on liebe*detail in 2008 clinched theHamburg – Leipzig connection. Now the interest of labels like Mobilee and Pokerflat isawakened. Sven produced remixes for Claude v. Stroke’slabel Mothership and for Anja Schneider. In the meantimeSven Väth plays the “Waiting EP” on Ibiza and enjoys itso much that he licences it for his annual “The Sound Of”– series. In collaboration with Juno6 Svens third release on CargoEdition came out early in 2009 – two percussive tracksfor the dance floor. Shortly after that came the releaseon Ornaments. “Raveline” magazine features Sven in itsJanuary edition.Eventually Daniel Stefanik, Juno6 and Sven Tasnadilaunch their own record label – “Oh!Yeah!”. It will be justthe three guys releasing on this record label while trying tobe different than others, trying to find a way somewhere inbetween couch and dance floor. For the three ambitious guys this is the logical consequenceof a deep friendship and a mutual understanding ofmusic.1.Trentemoeller Like Two Strangers2.Steve Bug too much bass(kris wadsworth rmx)3.Steve Bug okubaka4.Steve Bug future retro 101.15.Sven Tasnadi piri,piri6.D.H.S. house of god(martin landski mix)7.Glowing Glisses Gayo Guido Schneiders Mystery Mix8.Clé Nomads(Tanzmann Remix)9.Sven Tasnadi Tell me again10.Steve Bug you make me feel11.Steve Bug feat Gigi like it should be(Ribn´s Translucent Vox Remix)
