Thanks to all of you who came down to our Launch Party at Public Life last month, We had a blast. We're pleased to announce our first line-ups for what will be a bumper year for Resonance.
5 February 2005 @ Public Life
Mick Wilson (Tilt, Parks and Wilson)
Nigel Marcussen
Dan Harwood
And, as you can see we've got a very special guest joining us for February. Club land legend and all round top bloke Mick Wilson has agreed to be our first 'Headline' guest. A career that spans the best part of 15 years and one that has produced some of the biggest hits in Progressive House under the Tilt banner amongst others.
There isn't a corner of the globe that Mick hasnt been too to spread his gospel whether it as a DJ or as a prolific producer. Currently in the studio putting the finishing touches to the debut Tilt album, this will be the first time you'll get to hear Mick in London this year. And, fingers crossed, we'll be hearing some fresh material in the process.
What more can be said about Nigel Marcussen. He's one of London's (or should that be New Zealand's) hottest talents. Unfortunately for London, Nigel spends more time on the road then he does in our fair capital and it's with pleasure that we showcase his skills. His recent mix for the launch of Shem 'Slacker' McCauley's Jukebox in the Sky label website earning many plaudits. However, it's live where Nigel shows what his made of.
5 March 2005 @ Public Life
Chloe Harris (Proton Radio, Seattle)
Tom Budden
Nick Sneddon b2b Dan Harwood
Chloe Harris is our first international guest (Ok, so Nige is a New Zealander but who's splitting hairs). This is her 2nd visit to these shores after wooing the crowds last autumn. Famous for her Proton shows and www.progressive-sounds.com Sound bytes monthly mix, Chloe is one of those DJ's unafraid to mix it up for the people. We welcome Chloe along and hope she enjoys her visit.
Our 2nd guest this month is Tom Budden, hailing from the South Coast Tom is another DJ plucked from the Jukebox in the sky guest mix stable. Cited by James Zabiela as one to watch we're proud to present his undoubted talents. Tom has also recently featured in the guest mix slot of Paul Louth's Wire show on Proton Radio. We're sure you'll agree that Tom is going places.
As ever we're determined to put on the best in fresh and undiscovered talent and again we ask you to get in contact with us at Resonance if you think that you fit in with that description.
Send us an email to resonance.info@gmail.com telling us a little bit about yourself and what you play etc. If we think you'll fit in with us we'll try and get you down to play. And, it won't be just a back room or a warm up set we'll be putting you right up in one of the main slots, maybe playing alongside the likes of our February guest Mick Wilson. We're already bringing the likes of Marc Hasler, Tom Budden and Nigel Marcussen to the forefront, guys who deserve the opportunity to play to an up for it, knowledgeable crowd. Maybe you'll be next.
