The Italian house scene seems to have come of age.
For years a breeding ground for cheesy Mediterranean fluff, the country has recently spewed forth a new generation of sharp producers. Crookers are taking this sound overground, but beneath this a huge array of talent lurks.
An Italian duo, We Love are preparing to release their debut album. Signed to German imprint BPitch, the band have much in common with label mates such as Booka Shade and M.A.N.D.Y.
Fun and frisky techno, the band's self-effacing sense of humour doesn't mask their superb production skills. Taking inspiration from the new wave era, early techno and club ready beats We Love are ready to hit the UK.
The duo are due to help launch new London clubnight Gallus on Friday (September 24th). Taking place in the CAMP venue, the club features a few familiar faces such as DFA's Shit Robot and Night Plane.
The bill is completed by Acid Washed and of course a set from the Gallus residents, spinning the best in new underground sounds.
