I think when it comes to highly desireable items such as this, companies have no choice but to take a strict/extreme stance. If employees got first dibs on the goods, all the shoes would be out the back door before the public could get them and they'd all end up on eBay.

the good thing about being an employee, is the sample sales. we get dibs on items that never make it onto the shelves, so u'll be the only one with them in the whole world. but its really hard to find something nice though. but its still kewl to get the only pair in the whole world!!
