WTF is going on with the NHL?

john buccigross (who i used to hate for his surfing the net comments...now i think he is da' man).narrates an interesting and maybe duable realignment of the league.

personally i dont agree with some of the stuff :
he suggests a shorter season ..season is fine the way it is
no fighting .. i think it's part of the game

some stuff sounds good
shootout at the end of ot (regular season) ...tying is like kissing piclemonkeys sister.
a team in vegas !! .. i probably couldn't go to games, but that would rock

i mean, would you rather make money for 5 more years and have the league fold? or take a managable approach to the moeny and keep the league alive :?

so selfish its distgusting. the weirdest thing is that outside of the detriot, colorado, and NYRangers ownership, the owners are actually losing less money not playing the season.

i wonder what would happen if the same scenario was going on in the NBA? those guys are real money hungry primadonas ..probably the president would've been involved by now..too much money would be lost..i always though that hockey players weren't selfish at all, i guess im wrong

it's not all the majority though, its the people like forsberg who feel like they are entitled to 11 million a season when frankly, they simply are killing thier team by doing it. , i mean look at a team like the islanders who have NO attendance and not much cash, they cant even afford one major star.

Hockey is over, and it doesn't seem like it has afftected many people. I was watching a segment on sportscenter about the NHL players playing overseas, and how some might just stay there if the money is better and other factors.

I wonder if hockey will be back next season, would be nice to have another spirt in Boston since the C's suck

I think the NHL has done itself in worse than baseball did.. the thing is, I dont think many people really care.
I live in tampa, the defending Stanley Cup winners, and there isnt really much of a buzz about it. The only story that really came out was when they got their rings, and there wasnt any ceremony.

I was actually getting into it during the last playoffs, but to be honest, I can take it or leave it.
