Dunno if you guys remember, but I was annoyed over how a lot of times when I tried burning a set w/ a cue file the CD would skip and the audio was all distorted. I think the problem was that I left spaces between the tracks in the CUE. I tried closing the gaps and now I made a CD that works fine.
Figured out my CD-R w/ cue burning problem!

do you have a different brand media? sometimes that is all it takes.
or if you have not ... try turning down your burn speed. that sometimes works.dead, yet alive.Comment

I was going to say the same as asdf. What brand of media do you buy? The crappy crap media thats really cheap is the worst investment you can ever make. Buy good media."The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws." - Tacitus (55-117 A.D.)

if you get a few bucks ... go buy a 5 pack or something like that. just try to get the "higher" brand.
just because it has worked once ... does not mean it should work all the time. so perhaps it can be a media issue ... or software ... or burner ... or creation ... just start some where and exhaust your resources. perhaps even another app ... o isn't troubleshooting fun? :wink:dead, yet alive.Comment

Ya. As asdf says. I would first try better media (unless your already using god media) so let us know what your using. I have vast experience with CD-Rs and the different brands, and am pretty knowledgable on DVD-Rs now too. Then if you are using a good brand, or switch and it still occurs, try Alchohol 120% or Nero. Ahchohol is esp cool for images, which .cue files are. It burns cue, img, iso, and any other type of image file very well, and will lots of cool features. For all other CDs and DVDs I use Nero or DVD Decrypter. CDRWin was very good back in the day, but I don't like it in comparrison with the new utils. DVDRWin is total crap, maybe just me but I don't like it at all."The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws." - Tacitus (55-117 A.D.)

i have had issues with image burning where something about my burner was causing it to mess up. i never figured out precisely what it was messing up, but regardless of what media i used, it would produce the same error... and when a friend burned it for me, it worked fine.
what made it even wierder is that it was a legit winxp image straight from microsoft... and the error only came during the install.Comment

i use EAC for my cue sheet CD burning. works like a charm.
the problem you're having might be from bad discs (meaning low quality discs), burning too fast, bad mp3/wav copy, bad LAME decoder, or buggy burning software.
if you're burning at say 48x, you might wanna take it down a notch to 24x so your harddrive could keep up.
in the past, i've seen all-distortion burns when my friend tried using an unsuccessfully-hacked cdr-win. for a legitimate copy of cdr-win, you'd have to enter the registration code but if you have a bad copy of the software, then you'd find out when you burn b/c it's all distortion.
hope this helps.Comment
