Mark Farina - Mushroom Jazz vol 7

    Love this series!

The American jock is set to release the next installment in his long-running series.

The seventh edition of Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz series is due for release next month.

For the past 15 years, Farina has championed a style of DJing that hovers easily between hip-hop, jazz, house and down-tempo. He showcased this eclectic sound throughout the early '90s on mixtapes and at his Jazid Up parties in San Francisco, eventually coining the term Mushroom Jazz with his first official compilation in 1996. The style has since become his calling card, and has characterized dozens of records and commercial mixes, including a contribution to the Fabric series. Mushroom Jazz 7 stays true to form, cruising through nearly 20 mellow breaks and R&B-flavored tunes by artists like Lurob and Tommy Largo.

    Tracklist
    01. Lurob - Down The Road
    02. Slakah the Beatchild - Macheeto
    03. Nathan G - Colorblind
    04. Andy Caldwell feat. Rico de Largo - Southern Plumperz
    05. Joshua Heath - More
    06. Tommy Largo - It's The Beat
    07. King Kooba - Bad Back
    08. Colossus - Introduce (SLAP Mix)
    09. Uneaq - Just Move
    10. Jazz Spastiks - (Never Been To) California
    11. Live Forever - Mark Oakland
    12. Tommy Largo - Night Time
    13. Derek Dunbar - Please Be Mine
    14. Giano & Michael Knight - Walking The Dog
    15. Jazz Spastiks - Amber Leaf
    16. The Hue feat. Kissey Asplund - Stressin’
    17. Slakah the Beatchild - Living For The Rush
    18. Billa Qause - All Night
    19. Dave Allison - Brooklyn’s Groove

Mushroom Jazz Recordings will release Mushroom Jazz 7 on November 9th, 2010.

Music is the answer, to your problems. Keep on movin', till you solve them.

      it's gonna be killer

seen him 4 times live this year; and some of the tunes he's been playing sound strikingly unfamiliar, sexy and groovy as fuhhh. a lil birdie said perhaps he's been busy testing vol 7 earlier this year at gigs, and we've just not been aware of it. i have nothing but high hopes for this!
