Recording a live set at the club from the bathroom

Has anyone tried splicing into any speaker wires in an attempt to record a live set at a club ? Perhaps splice in, convert to RCA, then mini-stereo, then mp3 recorder ? One of the issues may be the input level going to the speakers...... ??

yes.

It's from one of the Parker biographies: this guy would follow him around and run a mic from the stage back into the toilets. He'd listen in with his headphones and then turn on this mini recorder whenever Parker took a solo. I think some of the stuff was transcribed at some point.

When you think about it it's basically the same thing as people here recording the Kiss shows and beating off when Diggers plays the new Christian Smith remix or whatever.

I woudnīt do it... donīt ever splice any speaker wire at a club cause it has hi power... you could burn your mp3 recorder, and you can burn the power amp... someone will kick your ass, and a bunch of junkies will f*ck your ass for breaking their trip...
there are lots of e-music in the web... why would someone do that...?
