I would say it is a lot of money for a used combo pack of this class.

Assuming that we are talking about SL-1200 MK2, here are my thoughts:

What you should ask first, is the exact date of manufacturing of the SL-1200s (if it is before 2005, then simply forget it, as I'm sure they will be overused). furthermore ask about their cartridges and stylus (although you should change the stylus every time you get used hardware, but there may be a chance that the stylus have been replaced recently, but I doubt).

Lastly, regarding the Vestax PMC-06 Pro VCA, you can find plenty of them on ebay in very good condition and at very very low prices (around 150 USD or so).

So in your case, and IF the condition of the items is EXTREMELY GOOD, I would offer 800 CAD and not 1200 CAD

The choice is yours of course.

Test pitch slider on both .....set them at +6 and make sure the strobe dots on the platter hold still.

Check the rca's too because on the Technics they use hard wired ones and it's a pain in the ass to replace.

As panoulix stated above i would pay 800 Cad's only if they are in EXTREMELY good condition!!

        Good luck mate

definitely check the turntables before. Mine are from 94? and are in great condition. But because I took care of them very well. check for all said above, pitch control status, rca wires, stylus and simply how dirty or clean the tables are will tell you a lot too. Test them out if you can.

hello. I bought my full dj gear today, all brand new. I scrapped what I posted in the thread title.

Im having trouble installing my 2 black technics-sl1200 mk2's so I need help. what do I do with the ground wires considering I have Xone 62? the instruction manual tells me to install them at some phono output but the ground wire is just that fork-like thing that won't fit into any output.
