Release Info: It's not very often that an underground dance music label can boast a tenth birthday, especially in this day and age when music is moving so fast. However Chris Sterio's Source of Gravity Recordings can do just that. This label has coped well with the transition from the analogue days of old, to the new digital download era, and although they no longer release vinyl they are still releasing hard hitting tunes from their consistent roster of worldwide
artists that is supported by many of the big names on the worldwide circuit.
To celebrate their tenth anniversary this year, they have asked some of their longest serving musicians to put together individual hour long mixes that will contribute to a compilation series which is to be a true portrayal of the sounds that have been pushed over the years by the label. The mix series is entitled "Soundscapes" - a very appropriate name I think you'll agree.
The third instalment comes from none other than Section 75, an artist whom has contributed to the labels long life, and is always hitting the mark with his solid tech house remixes and productions. Section 75 for those of you that don't know is another alias to *riffraff's and Zoo Project's Lee Pennington for his more futuristic hypnotic house grooves.
Not content with just putting together an ordinary DJ mix of other peoples tunes, this Soundscapes compilation is an hour long piece of music where Lee has asked for all of his favourite fellow Source artists to send him the individual parts of their forthcoming tracks on the label, with a few older Source classics thrown in too. Lee has undoubtedly shown off his
production skills by creating a flowing non stop musical journey.
The tracks that have been included are listed, but because the parts are so mixed up it's almost impossible to give a track listing in the correct order, and there are even brand new grooves created from multiple samples from the various originals. If your still not getting this then basically Section 75 has took a bunch of tracks and remixed the shit out of them exclusively for this

This is really good. I even recognized parts from our own tracks that werent even listed in the track listing. Lee really put a lot of innovation into this. It reminds me a lot of the Involver series from Sasha where you were really hearing a live production rather than a typical mixed set. Subtle, elegant and intelligent all at the same time. Great work here.
