There is nothing wrong with being penalized for not paying into the healthcare system if you have the ability to pay for it but choose not to. This is the one of the richest countries in the world with the highest rate of uninsured people, so the system is broken. If you don't want to throw money you can afford into the pile to help your fellow citizens out then you are just a cheap ass bastard who complains about this, but will go to Ruth Chris' tonight and buy a filet for 35.99$ and then go hit Jackass 2 for 12.50$ with a 18.00$ popcorn (extra butter of course) and a coke. Your selfishness has failed.

sounds like the same stuff bill maher makes fun of every week on the people who think obama has just driven things in the ground with their incorrect interpertation of how the relief package was setup. he was fucked from the start and everyone thought the us would be shangri lah in 2 years, so he was fucked from day one.

other than that, i dont care much, just my opinion. i dont give a shit either way because the us is going to be in the same place it is now for a long while no matter who is in control, nothin much gonna hap. just let me go to work and get my paycheck and have some free time during the weekend and im good.

^He with the help of the FED infused toxic trillions into the system ensuring we have no way of returning the money without hardcore austerity implementation. Bushy should have never rescued AIG when their fallout was a direct consequence of risky mortgages (greedy bankers in conjunction with foolish political mandates for those who have no business possessing a mortgage made for the perfect easy credit disaster). As RunningMan put it in another thread, it's the equivalent of can-kicking. At some point, you have to pay the piper after printing up all that toxicity.

Your asinine and presumptive analysis fails. I'm struggling enough as IT IS to be penalized further for not giving into the demands of you authoritative types. America by and large agrees. And this kind of thing is happening in liberal hotbeds all over the country, the latest with the banning of the happy meal in San Fransicko, FFS.

This article describes the overwhelming sentiment on election night best:

"These ideas," Boudreaux says, "are almost exclusively about how other people should live their lives. These are ideas about how one group of people (the politically successful) should engineer everyone else's contracts, social relations, diets, habits and even moral sentiments." Liberalism's ideas are "about replacing an unimaginably large multitude of diverse and competing ideas . . . with a relatively paltry set of 'Big Ideas' that are politically selected, centrally imposed, and enforced by government, not by the natural give, take and compromise of the everyday interactions of millions of people."
Also, the right to free health insurance is not granted by the constitution by damn and you entitlement statists attempting to redefine it with your social engineering will be (a component of) our undoing:

http://obtuseobserver.com/?p=1208 (Natural Law is all that the Bill of Rights promises and by creating an increasing number of positive laws, which can be altered and even removed at will by any govt. that enacts them, you create unsustainability and the opportunity for serious abuse).

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has “passed an ordinance that will require meals to meet certain nutritional guidelines if restaurants wish to include a toy with the food purchase.” Meals with toys must meet nutritional requirements with respect to fruit, vegetable and multigrain content. The ordinance passed by an 8-3 vote, enough of a margin to override a promised mayoral veto.

You don't see the connection between a free toy and really unhealthy food being fed to kids? It's rewarding eating shit. I think it's criminal, so therefore I don't care who says it's wrong, the local government in San Francisco, or a 3rd party organization. Type 2 diabetes is an epedimic among kids these days, it's not the 1979 anymore.

Plus Vinnie, you don't live in the city of San Francisco, so your kids can have all the free toys and mcdonalds you want to feed them.

Yea, you missed the point entirely. Parents should have the ultimate say as to what they feed their children. To make the ridiculous decry by law to a private company is just the kind of oppressive measure that Orwell waxed poetic about in 1984.

^I think you are missing the bigger picture as it relates to type 2 diabetes and calling highly unhealthy food that comes with toys a "HAPPY" meal. I don't trust Mcdonalds as far as I can throw Mcdonalds with regard to their ingredients and use of saturated fat and sodium. These "happy meals" are not the same "food" ingredients that we ate when we were kids. Shit is foul.
