I actually attempted to explain why building a set over a few hours is so much more enjoyable than 138bpm's non-stop for several hours with three breakdowns every ten minutes. Nobody seemed to 'get it'. "Why can't they play fast all the time? Fast is good." "Trance is great because the breakdowns are long and beautiful." If fast is so fucking good why do they have to have 3 rests every 10 mins. I hate those breakdowns !! I don't want to stop dancing every few mins !! This is a touchy subject with me at the moment, they had a couple of trance djs on after Timo Maas the other night

Proof that this poll has nothing whatsoever to do with music : There´s 2 portuguese DJ´s in that top 100, Pete Tha Zouk and DJ Vibe. The fact that Tha Zouk, who is a cheese merchant, is ahead of DJ Vibe, who single-handedly put portuguese music on the world map, shows that this is nothing more than a PR and mouse-clicking skills contest.

Supposedly, DJ´s cachets and bookings depend a lot on this piece of crap list, so I actually don´t mind seeing Sasha and Digweed, and others, down that list, it means it gest cheaper to book them, so more chances for someone from an economically weak country to see them.

we do this every year...yes the poll is crap and does not reflect anyones opinion who cares enough about edm to actually post on any respectable forum...so forget the list.
