Hernan's Jan Promo is fooking baaad. Very progressive. Minimal fluff.

it's tops my list of his sets...

Ja, it's an argentinian site, so there are full replete with Cattaneo mix.

                Re: Hernan Cattaneo

Hernan Cattaneo is no doubt one of the most talented DJs around..he really knows what we house music lovers want and i think thats what makes him a great DJ...it would be insulting to compare him to Tiesto..download his live @ London sets

And don't you ever forget it.

Everyone has someone that doesn't do it for them though. Someone who it seems everyone else loves.

Take Sasha for example. Or Danny Howells. They just don't do it for me, usually. I do still listen to a lot of sets by each though, hoping. I just like Sasha as a producer, Involver was good and ADD is legendary in my eyes. So like so many producers, he just can't mix a good set. Things haven't changed much with Sasha either, he switched to Ableton but all the sets still sound exactly the same to me.

Danny, he just isn't consistent enough to me. I used to love him.

But irregardless, Hernan roXXorZ. I've never heard a set by him I didn't like. I can't say that about many DJs.

At least most everyone can agree on one thing though. Digweed. Since most probably ventured this way because of him.

Couldn't agree with you more. I'm going to Sasha next Friday in hopes that he'll convert me; that seeing him live is different from the sets I've heard. I did like the one from Aria from last July but the sound quality was shite. And I used to really like Danny, but I agree with you about inconsistency. Then I went and saw him last June/July and he blew goats. So my plan of him winning me over again backfired.

Exactly, consistency, that is a big part of a quality dj imo. I drove 2 hours to see howells last year in orlando...and man it was just godawful. just horrible. I like alot of howells stuff but way to often does he go off into the deep end. Sometimes I wonder what he is on to make him think that the music he is playing sounds good......

Exactly. I liked Danny a lot when I first discovered him. I found and Dl'ed every set I could find. Then he just did if for me less and less. It seemed like when I really liked him, very few people even knew who he was.

And the less and less I dug his sets, the more and more everyone around me started to like him. Up until I heard him live which was when I gave up. And yet, about that time was when everyone around me, including [ms] just couldn't stop talking about him. I'm glad to see I'm not alone.

Go back to the olden days Danny

Must be the same one I'm talking about, at HOB. Can't count how many times he bumped the decks, threw everybody off, and his track selection was just shite!

Haha, I've not talked to anyone that likes Jimmy Joslin. If they gave out razzies for DJs he would certainly sweep the awards. He's the resident at HOB on Service Industry Night (Sunday), I make it a point now to get there 2 hours after doors open.

damn right about that guys. I got 3 names who so many people seem to love, but everytime I've gone to see them...nothing. Howells, Deep Dish and Morillo. Howells and DD kill me cause they have the ability to every now and then play an amazing set problem is they also could bore the hell out of me and mange to do it most times I'd seen them or heard their sets. Then with Morillo, he plays nothing but peaktime from start to finish, where's the creativity in that? It starts pounding on my head and bores the absolute hell out of me.
