In what was one of the biggest record of Summer 2010, MYNC & Rhythm Masters have joined forces to remix the most memorable dance track in history. Their version of ‘I feel love’ featuring vocals from the superbly talented Wynter Gordon has taken the electronic world by storm. The track is already being championed on the airwaves by some of the UK’s biggest radio presenters including Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Steve Smart at Kiss 100; who named it his ‘Weekend Floor Filler’ and alos hit number 1 in the Buzz Chart.
Rhythm Masters are no strangers to success, they catapulted to fame during the early 90’s and have since been recognised as remix kings. In 1996 their remix of Todd Terry’s' Jumpin firmly established them as one of the top remix teams in the world. Not only was this single a huge world wide hit and the no.1 UK Club Record for that year - they also set a trend for banging garage beats, time-stretched vocals, phat b-lines and production techniques which were previously only found in Hip Hop and Jungle records. In January 1997 Record Mirror/Music Week rated them as the No.1 remix team of 1996. In '97 they managed to produce no less than 20 remixes including high profile artists such as Michael Jackson and Jocelyn Brown. Success continued for the Rhythm Masters working on remixes and their own productions all to a rapturous reception, and in 1999 they were once again recognized as one of the top 10 remix production teams (Music Week No.2). After 10 years Rhythm Masters are back with a bang, remixing the way they used to, and there is already a buzz of how amazing this return will be!
MYNC similarly made a return to producing after a short 18-month break. The act’s front man, CR2 head honcho Mark Brown thought it time to bring back the brand, known for championing new sounds combined with mesmerizing technical wizardry, to the forefront of the dance scene and enlisted some of the CR2 family along the way. Last summer MYNC returned by mixing the widely acclaimed Space Ibiza album, and then going on to produce ‘Boogers’ with American house legends Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero & Jose Nunez. This was followed by a recent contribution to the Live & Direct series in February with all 3 acts joining forces, MYNC mixing disc one and Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero & Jose Nunez mixing disc 2. The album has received international success and is a welcome return to good solid house music. Recent remixes from MYNC have also included an awesome take on the Faithless track ‘Sun to me’, which is featured exclusively on the Live & Direct album.
MYNC & Rhythm Masters ‘I feel love’ is a seminal dance track created and ready for any main room set. Wynter’s chillingly beautiful vocal adds depth to the already momentous production; whilst the driving drum beats and dynamic chord changes mean this record will without doubt sparkle when dropped with perfect timing. It’s unanimous this is the biggest WMC contender to date and enough to get anyone ready for that Friday feeling. With support already in from Carl Cox who is undeniably one of the biggest dance music legends, and Sven Vath ‘I feel love’ can cross the boundaries of any listener’s ears!
