A broke, wannabe DJwho nonetheless knew better than to gowith belt drives, Daniel didn’t have muchchoice. He told his girlfriend that he was aDJ – a lie – and agreed to play her birthdayparty, so he would have to wing it or comeclean. Not one to shy away from getting hishands dirty, Daniel rocked that party andhas clocked two decades as a DJ since.Hailing from Houston, Daniel trained hisear on Club 6400’s live Saturday nightbroadcasts, and mixed his way through theyears, digging into 80s pop, drum andbass, house and techno along the way.An eight year student of productioncurrently under the tutelage of FrancisPreve, Daniel has released several originaltracks and remixes alongside NathanStewart as Backseat Bingo on such labelsas Revolutionary Music, Kolour Recordingsand Jackin’ the Box. Collaborations with DJ0045 have been released on Cobalt, PureTrax and Special Recordings.As a solo artist, Daniel has upcomingreleases due out on Chicago’s PMRRecordings, and is currently working on aremix for Planet East.myspace.com/danielallen54soundcloud.com/daniel-allen
