electro actually grew/started from classic hip hop in the 70's; but you're right... i'd thought this pseudo-electro dissipated as well. real electro-house, on the other hand, is fucking bonkers! deadmau5 really only imitates it (imho). not talking shit on the deadmause, just sayin' ....it's truth ^_^
