At the moment I really don't know what to do best . I'm very busy with my new study and I haven't got long weekends or vacations anymore like I had before. I'm still buying tracks I like because I hear all those nice things on youtube or Beatport etc, but I haven't got enough time to do something special with them. Sometimes I have a day off and I try to make a new set, but the problem is that I don't know where to start after +- a month. Most of the time I'm stuck with +- 100 nice and new tracks and at that moment it just sucks to choose. At the end of the day I have the tracks selected I really want to play (+- 15), but that's also the moment that my free day is almost over. At that moment it feels a bit like throwing away 85 tracks and screwing up a free day without results. You can understand that this feeling is very frustrating.
Yesterday was a day like above and something inside me said around 5 o'clock: "you have to quit m8, it costs to much money and you're spoiling your free days with selecting tracks and creating frustrations instead of chilling out, enjoying music and spending all that money on nice gigs or other stuff".
At the other side I'm currently listening to the new Streetrave Sasha set again and I hear those lovely tracks that I also wan't to use in a nice deep mix. I'm also having some visions about playing a mix like that in a nice area with tracks I already have, and when I look at my shiny black SL1210's and the midi-controller the whole mixing-addicted love feeling starts again and I feel the tickling in my fingers .
At the end this feel good/bad feeling starts over and over and I don't know what to do best. I really like mixing and I really like creating nice sets, but I just need more time for it.
Are there more users with experiences like I have at the moment ?
