    Its finally here

If your in the Boston area over the weekend I suggest you check out Porter at Rise tonight or if you can make it check him out a Virgin Megastore Sat for the cd release.

Brief Bio for those that dont know

Steve Porter, the 26-year-old DJ prodigy from Western Massachusetts, may have humbly started spinning in his parent?s basement and DJing his own senior prom, but it didn?t take long for Porter to move beyond Amherst and take over the rest of the world. These days, Porter is based in New York and spins his infectious house music in clubs all over the planet alongside superstars such as Sasha. He?s also an in-demand producer who releases his own music under a number of aliases. Porter still holds a residency in Boston at Rise, the members-only, after- hours club. But if you?re not a member of Rise, or even a night owl, you still have an opportunity to hear Porter spin this week. To celebrate the release of his new album, ??Homegrown,?? Porter spins at the Virgin Megastore. It may be a challenge to dance between rows of Hilary Duff CDs, but there?s no cover or age restriction. If you?re a member of Rise, Porter will be at the club Jan. 21 to celebrate the release of ??Homegrown.?? - By CHRISTOPHER MUTHER

I hope it's a good mix cd. I know a bunch of the tracks on there are good.

Kinda wish I could be at that store to witness this event.

                              Downloaded this yesterday from www.faderecords.com.
I like digital downloads. 10 minutes to wait for the CD

Great tunes, but sound-wise it sounds a little bit "sterile".
                              The dynamic is missing.
I was going mad because I tried everything on my EQ and Reciever to
make it sound good, but no luck...

I?m yet to hear it at my car-stereo, though.

Anyone else experienced this "sterile" sounding?
