Our good ol' boys in blue

Whatever you may think of the student protests going off in London of late and whether or not you agree with their cause, have you ever seen someone tipped from a wheelchair and dragged across the street by a police officer?

and here's the assault on Ian Tomlinson at the g20 protest that led to his death, again the assault was by one of the met's finest

Its a joke mate. The police in London is fucking brutal. We are supposed to be all civilized and shit but the g20 protests reminded me of the 90's in Serbia when we had student protests against a dictator. Its common folks fault though...because they believe the mainstream media and equate anyone who exercises their democratic right to protest to some kind of hooligan. So we have a bunch "trigger" (club) happy bastards.

I think the problem with the rioting is the protests attract an element that enjoys the confrontation and gets carried away. Its like an extension of football hooliganism. Most of these people wouldn't get involved if they where on their own. There's an element of the police force who are just as bad. I saw the footage on the news with guy in the wheel chair, fucking terrible behaviour.

I must be the only person who doesn't have a problem with the Government's changes either. The way I see it when you finish school you have some choices. You go out and get a job and start your career or you invest in yourself and go to Uni. The company I work for the starting salary pays 5k more a year for graduates than non graduates. I don't see why the tax payer has to foot the bill. I wish someone would give me up to 9K every year for the next 3 years that I never have to pay back though.

Investing in education is investing in your country. The better educated the population is the better off everyone is.

Although I think the Hecs scheme we had here was good until the previous federal government changed it. The original was reasonable fees repayable only when you received a certain amount of income. The fees are now huge, not unusual to end up with $100,000 debt. So obviously all those highly qualified people are going to want to recoup that, which results in higher costs for every one. Which means we all pay in the end. Complex isn't it.?? We could have done with some student protests.

Btw Back on topic , We had several police taser a guy more than 40 times over a few days. At least it is now in court.

All i can say about this, England is a good country.. You people don't imagine how bad things can go on southamerican countries like mine.. If you don't believe it, just google "Villa Soldati" .. That shit it's happening right now in Argentina, and the funny thing is that we get used to it..

Most of that seems to be about people attacking each other rather than the police doing anything ?? One way or the other it is a very sad place It's awful that people get used to it.

What you can see on videos, it's people begging for a place to live.. i don't even know the word in english for people who "does not own a place but he wants to" .. Doesn't matter if it's that piece of land it's already owned by other person or it's goverment land.. Can you even understand it? It's kind of an internal war.. proper southamerican stuff..

and most disagreeable of all, .. is to see how the political sides are blaming each other and do absolutely nothing

I'm not interested in politics or believe in them, .. do not watch much news, but what's happening here is pure bullshit

I don't care in what country you are in but ....I find the customs police the most abusive of them all.

                              Yeah I did understand that.
Australia and Argentina were once comparable countries . I think we have been much luckier here
