      I loved this...

Paul Oakenfold, the British superstar D.J., who tried to break his moistly emotional brand of trance in America...
Are you feeling moistly emotional today?

i also think the real estate market has had a huge impact on the club scene (esp in NYC). the only way clubs can afford to pay rent here is by charging $50 at the door and $10 for a crappy beer ... not exactly a true EDM fan's idea of a great night out (and maybe more so b/c of all the dockers-wearing morons that come out as a result of the mega-club trend ) arc, after all, is being converted into condos that will prob start around $800,000 apiece.

I'm ust discovering what it's like to be connected to the internet after a few years. WOW. is all I can say. Some sites, as well as the dubstep blogs, have so much music that was toally unavailable to me (in the U.S) until I found that little ethernet cord plugged me into all this stuff.

          I'm very happy.

I think EBM is synoymous with Germany. Yes, Front 242 was from Belgium, but all those husge Electro Klub compilations are german. All the goth clubs here play German EBM. Isn't Wolfshem and VNV German? Wait, VNV is Norwegian, right?> Or is that Apoptygma?

You can't have manslaughter without laughter.

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."
