    It's All Gone Pete Tong

If you didn't know... Ibiza hits the big screen (again). :?

You?re a superstar DJ, but what do you do when?.

    ?ITS ALL GONE PETE TONG?

    IN CINEMAS MAY 27th, 2005

Based on true events, ITS ALL GONE PETE TONG is a comedy following the tragic life of legendary Frankie Wilde. The story takes us through Frankie's life from international fame as one of the best DJ's alive, through his subsequent battle with adversity, which culminates in his highly mysterious disappearance from the scene.

A genius in his own right, he clawed his way to the top of the DJ ranks, living the opulent life of a superstar, residing in his trophy villa in Ibiza with his trophy wife. But then tragedy hits, as his career and his well-being are suddenly threatened by a seemingly insurmountable twist of fate.

Frankie dives into a low period, struggling with depression and the physical threat to his career. After a year of locking himself away he emerges on the other side with a new approach to his music and a fresh attitude. Will Frankie make it back to the DJ booth? Will his new single be any good? Will he get back his opulent old life and does he even want it back? When your life has to change, things look very different?

ITS ALL GONE PETE TONG is an engaging comedy exploring the relationship between fame and sanity, capturing the infectious rhythms of the Ibizan club scene.

From the producer of Human Traffic? and The Football Factory? starring Paul Kaye (Dennis Pennis) as Frankie Wilde, and directed by Michael Dowse (of offbeat comedy FUBAR) , ITS ALL GONE PETE TONG will open in the United Kingdom and Eire by Redbus Film Distribution on May 27th, 2005.

ITS ALL GONE PETE TONG received its world premiere at the Toronto Film
Festival winning the Toronto City Award for Best Feature.

eh, it might be ok. i'd be interested to watch, just because it sounds like it may shows a lot about the scene. i'm sure it probably sucks, but then again people in toronto seemed to like it....
Should I fuck you at that not until the ass, inject then tremendously hard bumschen and to the termination in the eyes yes?

I'll check it out. The Toronto Film Festival is usually a pretty good indicator of decent films. Not to mention it was produced by Niblo & Preston who also did 'Human Traffic' which I enjoyed.

He doesn't really exist you know... but they're doing a good job of making it seem so

So they just made the person up? Or is he supposed to represent someone we all know? Pete Tong, or Paul Oakenfold? Seems like it should be Paul since he has sort of disappeared, after being a superstar. Whereas Tong was never really a superstar, and hasn't really disappeared.

Any way, I wonder when this will come to the states. I'll see it when it does regardless of who this Frankie Wilde is supposed to be.

Sounds like it might be similar to the marketing of 'The Blair Witch Project' where they fool the audience into thinking the whole thing is/was real.

You can view the trailer here: http://www.michaeldowse.com/petetong.html

And by the way, on an aside, the term "It's all gone Pete Tong" is cockney slang for "It's all gone wrong".

Thats what I always thought... when I was in London, my british friend always said that.. very funny saying, i might add.

It pretty much describes this movie though

I saw this at the Toronto film festival in Sept and thought it was pretty funny. Not so much about the scene as a whole (compared to Human Traffic or Groove) but some excellent bits in Ibiza's clubs and beaches. The concept of "djs are gods" definitely came across. Focused a lot on the dj's ability (or in this case, inability) to beatmatch - someone who doesn't know better might think that's all that djs do!

I am sure this movie is going to be stupid but probably hillarious. So I might check it out when it hits theaters in the states.

Personally I'm all for anything that attempts to pile it on Pete Tong. I'll give it 5 stars unreviewed.

^^ I could be wrong, but I don't think it has anything to do with Pete Tong.

Actually i cant wait for this one for two reasons .. 1 same producers of human traffic and i really liked that movie 2nd is that ..well we dont get so many movies showing the scene ,talking about "the" real electronica , dance music fans while when u look at the # of rap and hip hop portraing movies it's soo much and really most of them are silly like that eminem shit (imo a desperate attempt to reveal him as a grown up) .. And here comes a question why dont we get many movies talkin bout dj's clubs the scene as a whole i mean ????
