Highsteppa, nothing I say will prove to you that there's a left-leaning media bias. It has been proven in spades since the shooting of the public official (if it wasn't obvious already). You don't think it exists, so we're at a crossroads. And likewise, you only acknowledge evidence that supports your own microcosm and belief system, so spare me the cognitive dissonance accusations.
Res, less guns floating around...mmm right. I don't buy it. The wackjob was obsessed and if there's anything that determined criminals/loose canons have proven, it's their resourcefulness and ability to improvise and skirt laws/regulations. He was at point blank range, was he not? He simply could've used a sharp instrument to do the deed if not a gun. It's the old adage, guns don't kill people, etc.
^unfortunately I think a lot of people have dismissed the standard newsmen as more loudmouth talking heads and have rolled comedians reporting the news under the blanket of actual reporters now. i think stewart even says he is just a guy doing a comedy show that makes fun of politics/current events, but alot of people seem to think otherwise now.
the msm always sucks for anything involving violence imo, they always just want to focus on the scariest/most outlandish bloody elements to try and scare people and make copy. shit really....but i would hope many could see past that nonsense and boil events down into what really matches up with reality and dismiss all the bullshit/hype just to sell newspapers and this weeks Dateline Murder Mystery.

like who is a loudmouth newsman?
you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky
it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles

Uh huh. Questioning the violence themed rhetoric and it's involvement in the shooting of a public official in the same way that has been used to scrutinize pop culture whenever there's a public, violent act is a total left leaning agenda. Or a self serving excuse for a position that you're not comfortable with.

Funny, I never said that. I've said that maybe the argument has deserved scrutiny and maybe it doesn't. I've said that in order to be taken seriously as a political movement, the Tea Party needs to take control of their media image. Quote me where I've specifically said that there is no left leaning bias or anything regarding that.
And that doesn't mean that I'm saying there is. I'm saying that the media is applying the same scrutiny to the violence themed, over the top language that has been polluting the American scene for months like they have whenever some kind of violent act comes up and the media are looking to oversimplify the issue.
But, as usual, you're selectively reading what you want and disregarding the rest.
And the "I know you are but what am I" retort is still weak when you pretty much use the same wording that I just used to describe you. Or, is this you're latest argument for "thought policing" in order to excuse yourself of having anything original to say back? It's amazing how you paranoid peeps go running to their Orwell like a fat kid going after a rolling Smartie. Yeah, great, 1984 and Animal Farm are great books, but Christ, you guys over use that shit more than Dog The Bounty Hunter tells peeps to find Jesus and to "get off the ice, brah".
You really need this pointed out? When your personality becomes more the reason why people tune in (not saying all of the above, but def applicable to oreilly and beck) vs the news you are reporting, you have become more:

Try again.
there is no connection. why is this so hard to understand? how did it guide Loughner to pull the trigger? what proof do you have that Loughner was influenced by any right wing 'rhetoric'.

Have you interviewed him? No one has much on him other than he's nuts from the random facts people are still piecing together.
I haven't said that it's right wing rhetoric that influenced him - you did. I said violent rhetoric.

sanchez and shep are the only newsmen you've posted. everyone else is a commentator. and sanchez got his ass fired (not sure about shep).
funny how you didn't include two airhead comedians in that lot.
^you said reporters, i am 100% happy to say that stewart and maher are comedians. and you can bank on 98% of america seeing any of those commentators/newsmen/talking heads above as reporters because of the fact that they are on fox/cnn/msnbc/etc all the time. it is great that christiane amapour was chief international correspondent for cnn for almost 30 years, but since she is not a daily loud obnoxious fuck she is unfortunately not going to influence anywhere near the likes of oreilly or glenn becks stupid ass.
Highsteppa, you are totally convinced it's tea party rhetoric that brought this guy (whose friend said he paid no particular attention to left or right politics) out to shoot a blue dog democrat. DOES NOT COMPUTE. Now you're adjusting your argument to claim "violent rhetoric" is to blame yet scores of examples of left-wing violence have been referenced to reveal that violence is not perpetuated exclusively by one political movement, but you hold strong by saying only the tea party needs to address its media image. I can't take you seriously.
Re: Sheppard, I can only recall one loud-mouthed episode from him, and that was during the worsening conditions at the Superdome post Hurricane Katrina.
Amanpour is a statist rubber-stamp for the US Govt. who deserves no more credit than "controlled opposition" O'Reilly.

Again, selective reading on your part
I never said that.
Try again, sit on your hands before you start typing and try to think really hard before you do. It's really funny to see how desperate you are to try and prove your point with the nonsense you keep spewing.
P.S. Nice try at editing your post to try to strengthen your argument, it's still a fail.
