Re: Looking for a good tribal progressive house set.

The timing by Beatport is uncanny-

Loopmasters are very proud to present an exclusive collection of sounds and samples from one of the most in demand global DJs of his generation, the one and only Steve Lawler.

When it comes to producers with a percussive flair, it doesn't get much heavier than Steve Lawler. No wonder Loopmasters signed him up for an extensive collection of beats and loops for DJs and producers. We've also included charts highlighting our favorite bonus beats, drum tracks, loops and drum samples across genres. Nothing but drums, drums, and more drums!

Dark Percussive House and Techno features inspirational samples for the next generation of Dance Music DJ who are looking to take their DJ mash ups to a higher level.

Steve Lawler is a definitive DJ and producer; a tastemaker whose sets combine quality house music with the power to move dance floors around the world. In the last few years, he's ignited crowds in the worlds best clubs such as Zouk in Singapore, Space in Miami, Twilo in New York, Pacha in Buenos Aires and the mighty Space in Ibiza. Courtesy of home in the summer of 1999 and 2000, he provided the groundbreaking sets of the season for many of those lucky enough to hear him. After just two months he had been crowned 'King Of Space' by the locals - a rare and well-deserved honour.

As an artist Steves releases & remixes have been signed by some of the worlds most established recording labels; R&S Records, Systematic, Drumcode, Harthouse, Cocoon, MBF, OVUM, Sci+Tec, Tsuba, Souvenir, Rekids, Boxer Sport, Be As One, Monique, Kostbar, Soma, Skint and of course his own recording label VIVa MUSiC.
Download and listen to new, exclusive, electronic dance music and house tracks. Available on mp3 and wav at the world’s largest store for DJs.
Push the envelope, watch it bend.

I think they might have gone back to med school. That's the scuttlebutt I kept hearing from some of the peeps from Fabricated told me last.

Shame too. That Transport double CD they did was excellent.

I know for a fact Pankaj did. Not sure about Matthew.

same thing (i think) happened to L.E.S.

Naveen G is also a resident up in NYC (last i checked) and Foosheen is a prof. @ Yale. i'm sure there are several others that i'm forgetting offhand who produce excellent music but have left for more stressful (and profitable) pastures of work

Yeah, I remember an interview with Noel Sanger from a few years back about how many dj's had to go back to actual work in order to make a living after the DJ as a rockstar craze hit its peak.

Even some of my friends who were resident dj's here in Toronto and making a pretty decent living doing so had to go back to their day jobs after 2005. The ones that are still really passionate about it still find time to pursue it, but a lot just dropped out of it completely.
