it's fine when it's in moderation, but when half the threads on the first page are "Student sues because he got an F" or "Watermelon grows to shape of small boy!" etc etc...it pushes important music related information to the second page.

this is afterall a music related community.

i imagine most of us read ebaums, wtfpeople.com, or muchosucko.com, or the million other random nonsense websites out there in the interweb, we don't really want MS to be an extension of those sites.

Hence, this forum.

Yeah its getting a bit too specific. First the politics, then the movie reviews and now this. I didn't even notice it until today. I liked having everything but music related stuff in one forum, more people talking about different things.

I do like the seperate WMC forum since it makes finding the information easier.

sorry to say it, but I don't think this forum was a good idea. At least with the others, there were specific purposes... e.g., Movie Reviews, Member Sets & Recommendations, WMC, Tracklists, etc. They all have a specific purpose. Categories like like "Weird News" and "Verbal Diarrhea 101" are just one in the same in my eyes... all GYY. Besides, with a subcaption like Verbal Diarrhea, who wouldn't expect all this shit to be posted to it?

I think a smarter way of approaching this "problem" would be renaming this thread to "EDM News" or something, move everything out of here back to GYY, and let all EDM News-related posts gather in here. At least then we won't have two "GYY" forums, and it'll be another post-specific type of forum for easy info searching. Or you can move everything non-EDM related from GYY to a new forum

the Political section happens to be the second most popular section on the board fyi. took off like mad, and is working like a charm.

there are only so many posts to be made on one page, with a growing community, information has to be put it a category at some point.

I don't like the title of this section tho, every random link you guys think is funny should go in a section, not just weird news, and music should go in another.
