Mozilla Thunderbird

Does anyone use this for email? With each passing day, I find that I like Firefox more and more, and I was wondering if Thunderbird blows Outlook away like Firefox leaves IE in the dust.

Outlook is a little different, but yes Thunderbird is more solid than Outlook Express. As far as features and functionality, there isn't much difference between the two. They are both basic mail applications, one just works better.

I definitely like Thunderbird over Outlook Express, though MS Outlook has some better "organizantional" features over Thunderbird.

I've been using Thunderbird myself for some time now. The only thing missing imo is the "minimize to taskbar" thingie. I found that very useful when I was using Outlook.. Anyway, they might implement it in 1.0

no, I use outlook 2003. which I don't really like as much as the previous version of outlook. But for personal email I prefer gmail.

i just use gmail. outlook at work. companys website doesnt like firefox

i just started using thunderbird couple weeks ago with my gmail account. had no problems, am really liking it so far. although i have not explored it thuroughly yet, will someday. woo

1.0 of Thunderbird has been out for almost as long as Firefox 1.0. I dropped Outlook in favor of Thunderbird quite awhile ago for 2 reasons; the built in spam filter and the fact that it gives you a different inbox for each mail account, rather then dumping all the mail into one inbox like Outlook.

I use Outlook and I get my Email in separated in boxes per account...maybe it?s like that in Outlook Express but Outlook sorts them.

The Norton Anti Spam plugin works well in Outlook for me at least
