    MercuryServer Facebook/DJDB app

I've been playing with the Facebook APi and have figured out how to have custom [ms] DJDB code run on Facebook. My intent was to notify members on Facebook, if opted in, when they had new DJDB subscription downloads, but it turns out 9 months ago Facebook disabled app notifications to try to keep spam down.

Now that I can't do the push notifications, I'm not sure about how I could make this useful. If anybody has any ideas on how a [ms] DJDB FB app should work, I'd love to hear them!

I think your missing the point. The goal is for world domination with ms members being the majority.

well, im personally not on fb and it wudnt really matter to me, but...

Adam, how about if you have a profile for MS on fb and you update it with the new sets and members can add you as a friend and opt to see ur updates...idk how filtering to show only subscribed artist on MS would work, maybe could work out something on the profile page and they'll have to subscribe again on fb or sth....just brainstormin here

I'm able to dynamically find personalized [ms] data via Facebook:

Log into Facebook to start sharing and connecting with your friends, family, and people you know.

It's just a matter of figuring out how to make it beneficial without spamming the shit out of people's walls

What about linking some kind of FB "Like" button to each artist profile on the MS DJDB? You would only "Like" those artists that you are interested in, and that would be linked to post on MS which are tagged with that artist.

I mean, we already have "Like" buttons on individual topics...
