I'm into Tuesday here and it still fucking sucks. Plus I can feel the onset of a sore throat or something.
I'm due to visit family in Singapore on Friday (Chinese New Year is like the Asian Christmas, its family time), my leave and air ticket were applied and sorted by the company a month ago.
Now someone is claiming a cockup and telling me I cannot go on leave because some phantom work requires my presence.
The most ridiculous thing in this bullshit being, I'm only taking leave for this Friday and Monday! Two fucking days!
I told them to sort out their own mess because I'm already out of here as far as I'm concerned.
Motherfuckers.

I like the rain, as long as it's not dangerously windy scattering debris all over the place, or worse. I'm just thankful it's not arctic freezing like it is up north

I woke up reading this email... but tbh, I never take these warnings very seriously, because I live an hour inland. If you are by the coast, that's a different story.

Current EOC Operational Status: Level 3 - Monitoring
Area Hazardous Weather Update: The National Weather Service Forecast Office
in Melbourne has informed us of the potential for Severe Weather across
Central Florida, including Orange County between the hours of 7:00 pm
Tuesday and 3:00 am Wednesday.
A developing squall line preceding a cold front will rapidly push eastward
across the State bringing with it the potential for severe thunderstorms,
supercell development and strong, maybe even long-track, tornadoes. Storm
cells associated with this squall line will move along the line toward the
northeast around 40 mph or faster. The hazards from these storms could
include damaging downburst winds, damaging wind gusts from 50 to 65 mph,
large hail, frequent lightning, isolated tornadoes, and torrential downpours
with accumulated rainfall amounts averaging around 1" with locally higher
amounts up to 2" over much of the area.
The Orange County Office of Emergency Management asks that you monitor local
weather conditions and media broadcasts Tuesday for changing conditions and
updated forecasts, especially as we move into the evening hours. If you
have a NOAA Weather Radio make sure it is turned on and set to the correct
channel for best reception.
The Orange County Office of Emergency Management will be participating in
NWS weather briefing updates beginning Tuesday morning and monitoring
weather conditions closely and will issue further briefings as warranted.
