I'm kind of struggling with Mixmag being considered some kind of authority on something as ridiculous an idea of "appointing the top 10 djs of all time".

I pick up the magazine for the covermount cd - the magazine itself goes straight on top of the toilet for shitter reading.

Muzik didn't always offer a CD on the cover every month. That's pretty much the only reason.

they didn't? i'm pretty sure it they did. and they were excellent compared to ministry and mixmag cd's.

There were a few issues in a year that didn't have a covermount cd. There was one with Seb Fontaine on the cover with a spacesuit in their last year that didn't. I also think it kind of helped that Mixmag had a bit of variety with the genres of music that they chose for the cds. Muzik was much more progressive, trance and house.

having said that, a lot of it has to do with the way tracks are made today, you rarely see the 9-10 minute track where you can ride a mix for that long, with out looping it, which gets a bit repetitive.

One of many reasons that I have & still play a lot of my old vinyl.

Mixmag? Has anyone actually taken a look at that piece of toilet paper in the past 5-6 years??? Dance music is almost irrelevant, they put Hard-Fi on the cover, H-A-R-D-F-I.

I've seen some local dj's that have far surpassed seeing an god.
