i think he's a bit of a cock...tbh...nothing he says is revolutionary or anything but obvious...and he sells the same crap to the US public as though he is some kind of genius. that's the impression I got anyway...kinda an arrogant prick.
Please note I am talking about personality here; religioulous is a good film if you live in hicksville USA and you never thought about religion in objective or scientific terms because everything stated is pretty damn clear to anyone with a brain.

For the record, this thread has nothing to do with the shit movie that is "religulous" or the jokes Bill Maher makes at Sarah Palin each week on his show. He hosts a round table each week consisting of sometimes 3 republicans after having interviewed someone such as the majority whip of the Repub party. My point is, I like his show because he is someone who is open to listening to both sides of the political isle while asking honest questions, taking questions from the internet, etc. If you don't watch "real time" each week, then you can't really comment.

For the record, I find Jon Steward, Colbert unpallatable.

It was fun while it lasted...

The political "isle" indeed. ;-) His "openness" to other viewpoints only goes skin deep...I used to watch him in the 90s and I had my fill of his shenanigans/antics.

It may be that all your views are negative. I actually feel sad that reading your posts you don't feel anything positive. You really need to be able to laugh sometimes. He is funny whether you agree with him or not.

I think that his appeal to me is that he puts things into perspective, he points out that nothing is revolutionary and that it IS all obvious, and in a funny way. He is not meant to be taken particularly seriously. People seem to judge him on whether they agree with him or not, that's immaterial .

Just for the record I enjoyed Religulous, it was so good to see an American taking the piss
I love his Sarah Palin jokes The more her stupidity is pointed out the better off the world is. I hate to say it but a lot of people judge America on the fact that she could have been within the very week heartbeat of John Cain of leading America . As long as she is taken seriously, it will continue to be how America is judged .

What I don't like is that he stops and laughs at his own jokes halfway through.

^Because the world is going so swimmingly well with the usurping Nobel peace prize winner running the show, amirite?

My attitude reflects the state of the world, and pissing and moaning about Palin's "stupidity" while giving the current ignoramus in the WH a free pass is what galls my mind.

                          Re: Lmfao

Nah, I'd just like someone in power who has a sense of American values (and is actually vetted and eligible to hold office and didn't issue an EO to lock up his past as if something to hide) and wasn't raised and mentored by commies (Frank Marshall Davis, the FBI reports reveal just how subversive this mentor was) and surrounded by colleagues who are radicals (Ayers), racists (Jeremiah Wright) and other similar malcontents. He plays it all off and the ones who bitch about Palin the loudest lap it right up. We're supposed to believe that none of this history has any bearing on his role as the chief executive and frankly, that's just more cognitive dissonance from a pseudo-intellectual leftwing mindset...aka liberal dementia.

Typical response, Rez. When you're entering the FEMA camp trying to get a bowl of soup and wondering what happened to your buying power, I'd like to see how funny you think it still is. Tell me how O'Commie holds a chairman seat at the UN while supposedly being the chief executive of the US and how that's even constitutional. He's above the law and he acts like it with impunity.
