The Internet is Running Out of Room - Myth

There seems to be this rumor beginning in the news that the internet is running out of room. Obviously this is just a US gov't attack on the internet. Of course this comes out just days after Homeland Security seized many sports channels on the net. There is a full blown attack on the internet right now. Canada has metered the internet (the gov't says they are going to overturn it but we'll see), Homeland Security seized sites, now the internet is running out of room.

the metered bandwidth proposal got reversed yesterday and is not going to happen.
the internet has been running out of ipv4 space for 10 years, the last block got allocated this week.
time to switch to ipv6.

keep moving...nothing to see here.

according to you everyone is honest and there is nothing to see anywhere. Soon you will only be able to go to a couple thousand sites (bigcorp sites)

I was talking about all this talk that the internet is doomed. That was my point.

the internet is not doomed and people have been talking about running out of ipv4 space for a decade now. what happened this week does not mean whatsoever that a someone with a small biz who wants to create a website tomorrow will not be able to due to lake of ip addresses, if thats what you are worried about.
