ERIC FICHTL -- Oakland CA (PDX Debut)
[ SONUS, Kabutomushi, NP ]
Eric Fichtl is a dj/producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Eric's musical journey began while growing up in Heidelberg, Germany. Growing up in Germany Eric quickly developed a taste for electronic music. While attending many local events curiosity grew and Eric became interested with what was going on behind the decks. The way djs could orchestrate and captivate a mood among the crowd with their music fascinated Eric the most.
Minimal was on the rise during the time he was going out to events and this sound was everything he ever wanted from any form of electronic music. The abstract sounds and funky swings intrigued his eardrums. Electronic music grew into a passion and Eric wanted to construct his own unique style. He learned how to spin records and began teaching himself how to produce. His sound is continuously sculpting and his productions are reflected by his experiences in life. He loves to keep things dark and funky.
