    exporting an address book from aol - help!

    an old timer at work has a few years worth of contacts - in turns out in an aol address book (and on a really old laptop).
    we need that address book with all the info in it - any idea's on how this can be done please?

    from my search it looks like you can do it to out to outlook - but noone has outlook!

    gmail would be the preferred receiver!

    any help please;

    According to Google, it's not possible:

    You can save names, email addresses, phone numbers, and more in Google Contacts. Contacts saved to your Google Account will sync with Google Contacts and all your Android devices.

    But then according to this article, it's newly possible:

    Log in and select Export from the Tools menu, select your file type as CSV and download, then import into Gmail.

        CSV stands for Comma Separated Values, and it's essentially a plain text version of an excel file with commas separating the columns. If you can get your address book exported to CSV, you can import it into Gmail. It won't delete anything, it'll only make a copy for you
